King Arthur Flour – Nationwide Free Baking Demos
Posted on | August 25, 2009 | No Comments
The Free King Arthur Flour demo classes are a unique blend of baking science, tried and true tips, and culinary theater; traveling baking instructors explain and entertain, inform and inspire. Attendees — as many as 8,000 each year — walk away with just enough baking science to understand how ingredients function in a recipe and why certain techniques are important to successful baking, while sharing the joy and tradition of baking at home.
“We know from customers that many otherwise confident people suffer from ‘baking anxiety,’” says Julie Christopher, National Outreach Program manager, “especially when it comes to pie crusts and baking with yeast. With a little baking knowledge, you can overcome your fear and experience the joy of baking and eating your own breads, pies, and more.” King Arthur Flour has helped thousands of bakers around the country to do just that through its traveling baking classes and other educational programs.
King Arthur Flour, America’s oldest flour company, started in 1790 selling flour by the barrel off Long Wharf in Boston. Two hundred and nineteen years later, the company remains committed to producing high-quality, consistently performing, chemical-free flours milled from North American wheat. The company’s flagship flour, Unbleached All-Purpose, has been milled to the same specifications for more than a century. King Arthur Flour is one of the top-selling flour brands in the United States. For more information on King Arthur Flour’s free baking classes, call 800-827-6836 or visit www.kingarthurflour.com.
